China Wok: Authentic Chinese Takeout in Roanoke, VA

When we pulled up my girl asked, "Are you sure about this Chris?", and I said, "Sure. It's the hole in the wall with the best food, right?".. Turns out I was right.. This is some of the best American Chinese food I've ever eaten. They make everything we ordered in house. The Hot and Sour was phenomenal; which I never say.. My girl's Lo mein was/is fantastic, and I went with the dumb American - General Tso Chicken, and it is fantastic.

Absolutely fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the service was fast and friendly. The fried rice and orange chicken were some of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely my new go-to Chinese spot

Very friendly and good food! $25 for 2 plates it’s it comes with protein fried rice and an egg roll! I got the orange chicken and my husband got fried chicken wings(8)

I've eaten here quite a few times over the last decade+ of living in Roanoke and I've never been disappointed, but after trying a few other places and coming back to China Wok on a whim I gotta say it hits just right. The food is a traditional American-Chinese takeout with affordable food that, for me, delivers on every dish I've eaten. They're in a tiny lot that kind of makes getting in and out difficult, but honestly the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommended if you're looking for what your brain thinks of when it imagines "Chinese takeout."

The food is AMAZING!! Good value, large portion, great flavor. They have a wide variety of food and treat their customers super friendly. The home-made chili sauce and the tofu is the best I had so far in the states. I would definitely come back again. Thumbs up

This was the most affordable, quickest and the best tasting Chinese food... I've ever had in my life...since St. Louis. I think I might have sat inside for 3-5 mins after I placed my order at the counter until my hot & fresh food was handed to me...like, Jimmy John's fast. The General Tso's chicken had a nice spicy and sweet sauce with meaty chunks of chicken throughout. The pork fried rice that it came with was steamed perfectly and the egg roll was big and tasty. The fried wontons(crab rangoon) was filled and fried to a gold standard as well as the chicken wings. I got a 20oz. Sprite as well all for $27. I definitely had leftovers, so I count that as a $13.50 meal. Whenever I'm back in Roanoke to work, I'll be stopping by again.

I ordered the Taitz Beef (beef with scallops). It was cooked perfectly, and was excellent with white rice.

great food, great service and great atmosphere. The staff here are so nice and lovely and help me out to pick a delicious meal. I had the shrimp fried rice best thing I ever had in my life full of flavor and cooked to perfection
